Gale practices in the areas of employment law, civil and commercial litigation, and insurance defence, and has appeared in all levels of court in British Columbia. Before joining Mackoff Mohamed, Gale practiced employment and labour relations law at a national law firm and was a judicial law clerk at the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta in Edmonton.
Gale advises clients on employment agreements and workplace policies, including contractor agreements, non-competition and non-solicitation agreements, confidentiality agreements, privacy policies, and harassment policies. Gale also advises on employment procedures such as employee hiring / termination, accommodation, human rights issues, disciplinary investigations, and harassment investigations. Gale is experienced in advising clients regarding service agreements and waivers for a variety of industries, including the areas of education, media / photography, and automotive services. She is also a director on the Board of Directors for the Squamish Chamber of Commerce and works with many businesses in the Sea to Sky Corridor. Gale holds a BFA in film and video production (Honours) from New York University, a MFA in experimental animation from California Institute of the Arts, and Juris Doctor from University of Alberta. Outside of work, Gale enjoys being outdoors with her family and remains passionate about film and animation. |
